How do you know if I’m the best proofreader for your project?

The best way to know if I’m the right proofreader for your manuscript is to see a sample of my work.

I offer a free sample proofread for fiction authors. Send me a 1,000-word sample in a Word document from somewhere in the middle of your manuscript. Tell me a bit about the project and I will proofread it using Track Changes.

Not only will you be able to see if I’m the right fit, but I will also give you the next steps. Sometimes those next steps are how to work together, and sometimes they guide you to an editor (usually a line editor or copy editor) before the proofreading phase.

Please send your sample to diligentanalyzer@michellemillerproofreading.com and put Book Sample Proofread in the subject line along with your name. I’ll do my best to get back to you within a day or two. Please copy and paste these questions into your email and answer them for me:

• What is the title of your book?
• What is the word count?
• What is the genre?
• What are your publishing goals? (self-publishing or traditional? deadline?)
• Has your manuscript previously been edited?
• Anything else you would like me to know?
